Large-format machines build pieces over a metre tall in a single print, or in sections that are bonded and blended afterwards. The printed shell is filled, sanded and primed, then painted or coated in fibreglass for outdoor use. Seasonal display trees, oversized product replicas and sculptural pieces for public spaces have all been printed this way.
